We are planning to upgrade both Ad and User Profile Server, is there a documented upgrade procedure on the site or forum we may follow?

Hello Dalekurt,
Unfortunately there is no automated upgrade for both the Ad Server & the User Profiles Server. However there is a workaround if there are no database schema changes. Fortunately there are no database changes between 0.9.2 & 0.9.3.

For the Ad Server, you need to extract the .tar.gz archive of the new release to your web folder. You will need to copy the following files & folders from the current Ad Server to your new Ad Server:
adserver/var/INSTALLED
adserver/var/hostname.conf.php (if you have more than one file of those, copy them all)
adserver/www/images/
adserver/www/storage/

For User Profile Server, you need also to extract the .tar.gz archive of the new release to your web folder. After browsing to the URL of the User Profiles Server, you will be able to install the new release by just choosing the "Use an existing Database" option while installing and input the name of the existing User Profiles Server Database.

If you face any problems while upgrading, please contact us on IRC for further assistance.

By the way, we are currently working on automated upgrade system and is planned to be available in future releases.

Dale-Kurt,

Are you upgrading from version 0.9.2 or from an earlier version?

I believe this is 0.9.2.

That is another thing being able to view the version you are currently operating.

This was fixed in 0.9.3. Now clicking on the "Help" link on the upper right corner of page will take you to the relevant version's release notes where the version is published.

Hussein
